Digital photo frames are everywhere, some are pretty cool and feature different web based sharing.
So are they ready? Are digital frames cool enough? Are digital frames easy enough?

Andy, thanks. The question I have is more about...what makes a digital photo frame cool? What makes it easy? Are any of the frames on the market now good enough?

It always depends on the user what you define as good and what not. For some users digital photo frames just displaying pictures are appropriate. Then you can keep it simple. Just insert the memory card and get started. You need no remote for that. When you add more functions, just as music, videos, wireless, everything necessarily gets complicated. This means that these products are not suitable for some customers, but some other segments of tech freaks get interested. In other words, there are digital picture frames in many segments and you can not compare them one to one.
